At Rome, GA With Kids, we’re all about supporting our children and helping them reach their full potential. That’s why we’re excited to shine a light on the incredible South Rome Community Association’s Free Tutoring and Mentoring Program.

This program is a lifesaver for many families in the South Rome Community. Many children, for various reasons, need a little extra help in school. Maybe they’re struggling with a particular subject, or maybe they just don’t have access to the resources they need to succeed. This program steps in to fill the gap, providing free tutoring and mentorship to students who need it most.

Here’s what makes this program so special:

• Dedicated Volunteers: The program is powered by passionate volunteers who truly care about the well-being of Rome’s children. They believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.
• More Than Just Tutoring: This program goes beyond just providing academic help. Mentors act as positive role models, offering encouragement, support, and guidance to help children navigate the challenges of life. They instill in them the values of responsibility and community engagement, inspiring them to become positive changemakers in the world.
• Flexible and Accessible: The program offers tutoring at different locations throughout the week after school tutoring is available at the South Rome Community Center, and volunteers are available at Main Elementary during the school day. So, there are flexible times to fit any busy family schedule.
• Open to All: While located in the South Rome Community, the program is open to all Rome children, not just South Rome residents.

How You Can Get Involved:

• Get Help for Your Child: If you think your child could benefit from this program, simply text “Interest Form” to 706-591-3363. A link will be sent to you with an online form to complete.
• Become a Volunteer: If you’re passionate about helping children and making a difference in your community, consider volunteering as a tutor or mentor.
