Rome GA With Kids is kicking off a new weekly email / blog to keep everyone in the know about what is going on around Rome, GA.
Your first step is to check out our re-modeled website. Take us out for a test drive and explore the website. There is a page with Resources of places families with kids would be interested in knowing. There is a calendar of upcoming Events that are targeted for families and kids. There are also many Free Destinations in Rome and surrounding areas that you might be interested in visiting.
There are also two ways for you to get in involved. First, you can Join Our Team as a volunteer. Send us information on upcoming events as an Event Scout; contribute to our blog with information about our Community and any events; or sign up as a Meet Up Organizer to get teams of families together as playgroups or just to enjoy events together.
Second, you can Partner with us by purchasing advertisements on our website. There are various packages that Individuals, Organizations and Businesses can purchase, as well as specific sponsoring opportunities. Go check them out at our Partner page
Our Weekly email is also a chance for us to remind you of some upcoming events this week. More details are provided on our website, specifically on the EVENTS page.
Activities Over the Next Week
On Tuesday the 28th: The Groods is showing at Movies at Berry Square, Story Hour at the Rome-Floyd County Library, a sewing workshop at the Library, Teen Activity Time at the Rockmart Public Library, and a Trion Movie Matinee at the Trion Public Library.
Wednesday the 29th: Rome Movie Matinee at the Rome-Floyd County Library, a Family Ecology Program at the Rockmart Public Library, Game Day and Trion Preschool Story Time at the Trion Public Library, Cedartown Midweek Matinees at the Cedartown Library, and So Sew at the Cave Spring Public Library.
Thursday the 30th: At your local Public Libraries: a Puppet show and S Team Kits in Trion; Story Time at Chattooga; Kid Craft Hour in Rome; Twisted Stitches In Cave Springs; and Family Science Night in Cedartown. The Groods is playing again as part of the Movies at Berry Square Summer kids Show.
Friday the 1st of July: Your public Libraries are providing: Homeschool Hangout in Rockmart; S Team Friday in Rome; Knitters Club and Teen Film Friday in Trion; Family Game Time in Cave Spring.
Saturday the 2nd: an Etowa Brunch Market at the Cosmic Dog Outpost; at the libraries, a Family Movie Matinee in Rockmart and Family Fun Time at Rome;
Monday the 4th brings Make it Monday at the Rome Library and Rockmart Storytime at the Rockmart Public Library. There is also a Multi-Faith First Amendment 5k run in Cartersville, with kids activities and a free Pancake Breakfast at the Finish Line.
