One of the most important decisions we make as parents and caregivers is who takes care of our kids when it isn’t us. Luckily, Rome has plenty of great options to choose from.

PALS – Trinity United Methodist Church**** PALS follows Floyd County Schools for school closures. They are currently closed, check their homepage for home education support and reopening information.

FCS has issued their reopening scenarios HERE. FCS has asked parents to complete a learning preference survey for all school aged children by July 21st. You can complete the survey HERE. Here is a comment from their Facebook page: “If school were to start tomorrow, July 8, 2020, we would be “RED” based on GADPH statement of current conditions in Floyd County. We cannot say today whether we will be “Green, Yellow, or Red” if we start back on our current start date of August 6th. We hope to be “Green” with students being back in traditional school five days a week.” On July 9th FCS announced a delayed start date of August 13th.

“Rome High, My child was bullied to a point to where they shut down and stopped doing everything and anything. It took very intensive, long counseling and therapy just to have a verbal conversation with them again. Bullying is just as much if not more by teachers! END IT ALLTOGETHER!!! #STOPTHEHATE”
